The tour is to explore the island's scenic landscape, culture and history deeper through cycling around Taiwan's largest lake and along one of Taiwan’s finest high-mountain resort areas.
In Taipei, we will visit the famous Daoist Bao'an Temple and well-known National Palace Museum.
The remarkable starting off of the long journey will be challenging the highest mountain road in East Asia (3275m) through the same route as the KOM(King of Mountain) event. Our cycling journey will then continue to the Sun Moon Lake, which has been reported by CNN to be one of the top 10 bike routes in the world.

Taipei Sightseeing with Metro and Bike
Today is a day of touring in Taipei. We are going to go around Taipei with the clean, fast and highly convenient Metro.
Attractions include:
Designed in 1910 by Japanese architects during their colonial period in Taiwan through the first half of the 20th century its eclectic style blends traditional European architectural elements, including Renaissance, Baroque and neo-Classical.

The Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall
This impressive building is based upon monumental Chinese architectural design.
Awarded the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Heritage in 2003, the grand and stately Baoan Temple is famous for its elaborate decoration and Daoist architecture.
The most important repository of Chinese arts in the world.

Taipei Train station – Qixingtan – Xincheng(Hualien)
Our First day of riding will be classic cycling with magnificent views of the coast. After an early breakfast at our hotel, we will transfer to the Train Station for a 1 hour and 52 minutes train ride to the east coast, where we officially begin the cycling part of the trip.
We will cycle along the coastline of northern Hualien. We will pass through a famous scenic area called Qixingtan. It is a beautiful curved bay with crystal clear blue sea water and with lush green mountain on the other side.
Day3
Xincheng( Hualien)—Wuling—Qingjing (KOM route)
Today we will ride up through pass and along awesome canyon, deep-valley edges called the Central Cross Island Highway and into Taroko National Park, which features high mountains and sheer gorges. It is also renowned for its marble gorges, with walls rising hundreds of meters high. No other places in the world can match Taroko Gorge in its spectacular and dramatic marble cliffs, deep canyons, and wild waterfalls.
We will continue to challenge the magnificent mountain ridge. It is a rugged, saw-tooth serpentine slice of sky-piercing rocky mountain. We will, later on, reach Wuling where features the East Asia’s highest road and tremendous views. It is also known as Taiwan’s most challenging trek KOM (King of Mountain). Later on, we will transfer to our hotel, we will not descend with our bike.

Day5
Qingjing – Sun Moon Lake
After breakfast, we enter the central mountain range. The country road allows you to experience one of most dramatic cycling, the natural beauty and diversity of the mountainous area.
After a series of steady climbs, we will arrive the popular romantic honeymoon resort Sun Moon Lake, where is 750 meters (2460 Feet) above sea level. The lake is entirely enfolded in foothills of the Taiwan Central Range, and the landscape of turquoise waters and drifting mountain mists attracts about 4 million tourists every year.

Day6
Sun Moon Lake
The day begins with cycling around the largest lake in Taiwan.
Cycling around the fabulous lake highway in the early morning will allow you to admire the transformation of the lake. When stopping at either Wen Wu temple, the majestic Tzuen Pagoda or Xuan Zang Temple, you can see the view stretches across the lake, with the deep blue-green colour of the water shimmering in the light.

Day 7
Sun Moon Lake – Jiji – Taipei
Today we will first cycle to the amazing Wuchang falling temple, which is damaged by the powerful 921 earthquakes in 1999. After walking around you will see the ruins of the temple describing its history and the scale of the disaster.
Afterwards, we will keep a cycle to some townships via Provincial country road, where it is majestically surrounded by mountains and is famous for bamboo forest. Our final destination of the day is Yulin where is situated in the west of Taiwan.
Continue to take a high speed train to reach Taipei city as we reach the end of our journey in Taiwan.
